The University of North Dakota Departments of Chemical and Electrical Engineering have established this test facility to conduct research on renewable hydrogen production and its energy conversion. The research is mainly focused on addressing the system integration issues required for the development of distributed Wind-Hydrogen energy systems. Currently, the test facility is equipped with Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) Fuel cells system, state of the art PEM electrolyzer, and Power electronics.
